The Future of Peer
Empowerment Through Education and Support
The training is meticulously designed for individuals recovering from substance use disorder or mental health problems, offering them a platform to not only further their own recovery but to also assist others in their journey. Our curriculum is rooted in the core values of empathy, diversity, self-awareness, and lifelong learning. We believe in the transformative power of education and support provided by those who have walked the path of recovery themselves.
A Comprehensive Curriculum for Future Specialists
Our curriculum covers four main domains: values, in-depth knowledge of recovery, roles and responsibilities of a certified peer specialist, and practical skills for peer support. Participants will engage in a mix of online learning and in-person workshops, focusing on critical areas such as the neuroscience of mental health and addiction, ethics and boundaries, crisis intervention, and effective communication. The training will culminate in a comprehensive examination, ensuring our graduates are well-equipped to make a significant impact in the lives of those they support.
